· To verify all the treatment sheets written by the RMO’s & consultants for appropriateness as per standards and report non compliance on daily basis.
· To perform the following list of audits and present the analysis as per calendar-
A. Narcotic audit
B. High alert medication
C. Refrigerator medication audit
D. LASA
E. Prescription audit
F. Crash cart audit
G. Ambulance medication kit audit.
· To carry out the AMS program.
· Attend the rounds with the consultants. And inform the RMO’s about any changes in treatment chart.
· To ensure compliance of MMU (Medication Management Usage) chapter as per JCI requirement.
· To ensure compliance of MOM (Management of Medication) as per NABH requirement.
· To coordinate for PTC, AMS, Infection Control Committee, QIP meetings.
· To synchronize the duties with other departmental staffs
Infection control Committee Member
· Reviewing the infection prevention program throughout the facility; evaluating policies and procedures related to patient care infection prevention measures throughout the facility.
· Reviewing annual risk assessment from the prior year’s activities, and recommend any changes required.
· Making recommendations regarding construction and renovation projects, and participation in all Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) activities and environmental rounds
· Reviewing employee health in monitoring work-related exposures
· Reviewing the components of the facility’s infection prevention and control program to include:
· Policies and procedures
· Program oversight
· Surveillance activities
· Process surveillance
· Outcome surveillance
· Antibiotics included in the facility’s formulary
· Antibiogram review of the facilities resistant pattern over time
· Laboratory processes including the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC)
· Conducting outbreak investigations which includes knowing what constitutes an outbreak
