Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and innovative Mechanical Design Engineer to develop detailed mechanical designs, production drawings, and technical solutions for manufacturing and fabrication projects. The candidate should have strong knowledge of design software, manufacturing processes, and engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed 2D & 3D mechanical drawings and layouts.
- Design components, assemblies, fixtures, and fabrication structures.
- Develop production drawings with accurate dimensions and specifications.
- Prepare BOM (Bill of Materials) and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with production, project, and quality teams for smooth execution.
- Understand project requirements and convert concepts into workable designs.
- Ensure designs meet quality, safety, and manufacturing standards.
- Modify and improve existing product designs based on production feedback.
- Conduct site measurements and technical evaluations when required.
- Support installation and production teams with technical guidance.
- Maintain design records and drawing revisions properly.
- Work on cost optimization and material utilization.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, or similar design software
- Understanding of fabrication, sheet metal, and manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of mechanical components and production methods
- Ability to read and prepare technical drawings
- Problem-solving and analytical skills
- Good communication and coordination abilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy in design work
Qualification
- Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- Additional certification in design software will be an advantage
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, retail fixture, or furniture industry preferred
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Practical knowledge of production and assembly processes
- Team player with strong technical understanding
Salary : 25K-45K (As per experience & Interview performance)
