Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and skilled Ladies Tailor to join our handloom showroom. The ideal candidate should have formal training in tailoring or fashion design, strong knowledge of current fashion trends, and expertise in stitching, alterations, and saree finishing. The role requires precision, creativity, and an understanding of traditional handloom fabrics.
Key Responsibilities
- Stitch ladies’ garments including blouses, salwar suits, kurtis, and basic ethnic wear
- Take accurate body measurements and ensure perfect fitting for customers
- Perform alterations and resizing of garments as per client requirements
- Attach saree fall and perform pico (hemming) with neat finishing
- Work with handloom fabrics such as cotton, silk, linen, and blends with care
- Suggest design improvements and styling options based on latest fashion trends
- Ensure high-quality finishing, durability, and attention to detail
- Handle custom orders and maintain timely delivery
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Degree or diploma in tailoring, fashion design, or a related field
- Proven experience in women’s garment stitching and alterations
- Knowledge of latest fashion trends, blouse patterns, and ethnic styles
- Expertise in fall and pico work for sarees
- Ability to handle delicate handloom fabrics
- Good understanding of fitting, cutting, and finishing techniques
- Basic communication skills to interact with customers

- Experience working in a boutique or handloom showroom
- Creative mindset with an eye for design and detailing
- Ability to manage multiple orders efficiently
