We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations at our food production plant in Jammu. The role is responsible for planning and executing production while ensuring quality, food safety, productivity, cost efficiency, and compliance with GMP, HACCP, FSSAI, and other regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to meet demand.
- Ensure efficient production of sweets, namkeen, snacks, bakery, and confectionery products.
- Optimize utilization of manpower, machinery, raw materials, and production capacity.
- Monitor production processes, minimize downtime, wastage, and rejections, and drive continuous process improvements.
- Ensure adherence to recipes, batch formulations, SOPs, and quality standards.
- Maintain compliance with GMP, HACCP, FSSAI, ISO 22000, hygiene, sanitation, and food safety requirements.
- Lead and develop production teams, manage shift planning, training, and performance.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Stores, Maintenance, Engineering, and Quality teams for smooth operations.
- Ensure preventive maintenance of equipment and recommend automation/process improvements where required.
- Enforce workplace safety, PPE usage, statutory compliance, and support internal/external audits.
- Maintain production reports, batch records, KPI dashboards, and monitor productivity, OEE, yield, quality, and production costs.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Food Technology, Food Engineering, Dairy Technology, Mechanical/Production Engineering, or a related field (MBA Operations preferred).
- 5 - 10 years of experience in food manufacturing, including at least 3 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
- Experience in sweets, namkeen, snacks, bakery, confectionery, or FMCG food manufacturing is preferred.

Work Environment
Manufacturing plant with shift-based operations as required, involving shop-floor supervision while maintaining strict hygiene, safety, and PPE compliance.
Pay: Up to ₹50,000.00 per month
