We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Panel Board Technician with hands-on experience in assembling and wiring industrial control panels such as DOL (Direct-On-Line), Star-Delta (SDT), and other industrial automation panels. The candidate should be capable of reading electrical drawings, executing panel wiring, and ensuring quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and wire electrical control panels including:
- DOL Starter Panels
- Star-Delta Starter Panels
- Industrial Control Panels (PLC-based / Relay logic)
- Read and interpret:
- Electrical schematics
- Wiring diagrams
- GA (General Arrangement) drawings
- Perform panel layout planning and component mounting:
- Contactors, Relays, MCBs, MCCBs, Timers, Overload Relays
- Carry out internal panel wiring and field wiring
- Ensure proper cable dressing, ferruling, and labeling
- Conduct basic testing and troubleshooting of panels
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards
- Maintain tools, materials, and work area properly
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of:
- Motor starters (DOL & Star-Delta)
- Industrial panel wiring techniques
- Ability to read electrical drawings
- Hands-on experience with wiring tools and instruments
- Basic understanding of:
- Three-phase systems
- Control circuits
- Good troubleshooting skills
- Attention to detail and quality
Preferred Skills (Added Advantage)
- Experience in PLC panel wiring
- Knowledge of VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) panels
- Familiarity with industrial standards (IEC, IS)
- Basic knowledge of electrical testing instruments
Educational Qualification
- ITI / Diploma in Electrical / Electronics
- BE/B.Tech (Electrical/Electronics) – Preferred for Engineer role
