Job Summary:
The Store Incharge is responsible for managing the receipt, storage, issuance, and record maintenance of construction materials at the project site. The role ensures proper inventory control, material availability, stock accuracy, and compliance with company procedures to support uninterrupted project operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming construction materials against purchase orders and delivery challans.
- Maintain accurate records of material receipts, issues, returns, and stock balances.
- Ensure timely issuance of materials to site teams based on approved material requisitions.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the procurement team for timely replenishment of materials.
- Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies.
- Maintain proper storage of materials to prevent damage, deterioration, or loss.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports and submit them to management.
- Track and maintain records of consumables, tools, equipment, and construction materials.
- Ensure compliance with company inventory procedures and documentation requirements.
- Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, and vendors regarding material requirements and stock availability.
- Maintain housekeeping and safety standards within the store premises.
- Monitor slow-moving, excess, and obsolete inventory and report to management.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of construction materials and inventory management.
- Strong record-keeping and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and inventory management systems.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in stock management.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under deadlines.
Qualification & Experience:
- Any Graduate / Diploma in Material Management, Logistics, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience as a Store Incharge or Store Keeper in the Construction or Real Estate industry.
- Experience in handling site stores and construction inventory is mandatory.
