he Turner is responsible for operating lathe machines and performing machining activities as per drawing and production requirements. The role includes cutting, shaping, threading, and finishing metal components while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate conventional lathe machines for machining jobs.
- Perform turning, facing, drilling, threading, knurling, and boring operations.
- Read and understand engineering drawings and job specifications.
- Set tools, workpieces, and machine parameters properly.
- Measure finished components using vernier caliper, micrometer, and measuring instruments.
- Ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish as per requirement.
- Maintain production quality and achieve daily production targets.
- Conduct routine machine cleaning and basic maintenance.
- Identify machining defects and take corrective action.
- Follow workplace safety procedures and housekeeping standards.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of lathe machine operation.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings.
- Knowledge of cutting tools and machining processes.
- Measuring and inspection skills.
- Good understanding of workshop safety.
Qualification:
- ITI Turner / Machinist or equivalent technical qualification.
Experience:
- 1–5 years experience in machine shop, manufacturing, or engineering industry preferred.
Preferred Knowledge:
- Conventional and CNC lathe operation.
- Tool setting and machine maintenance.
- Industrial production process knowledge.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
