Position Summary
HEC Enviro (India) Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Executive to manage day-to-day accounting operations while supporting import and export financial processes. The ideal candidate should possess sound accounting knowledge, experience in statutory compliance, ERP systems, banking transactions, and overseas trade documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Finance
- Maintain day-to-day accounting transactions in the ERP system.
- Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Prepare and post journal entries, payment vouchers, and receipt vouchers.
- Perform bank reconciliations and ledger scrutiny.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Reconcile vendor and customer accounts regularly.
- Support GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance activities.
- Prepare MIS reports and financial statements as required by management.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external auditors during audits.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and applicable accounting standards.
Import & Export Accounting
- Coordinate with overseas vendors for Commercial Invoices and Proforma Invoices required for advance payments.
- Process foreign remittances for import advance payments and coordinate with banks for related documentation.
- Coordinate with overseas vendors for shipment documents such as Airway Bills, Bill of Lading (Seaway Bill), Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin, and other import/export documentation.
- Track import shipments and maintain shipment status records.
- Coordinate with Customs House Agents (CHA) for customs clearance and related documentation.
- Verify the complete import documentation checklist before filing the Bill of Entry.
- Verify customs duty calculations and ensure timely payment.
- Review and verify CHA invoices for accuracy before processing payments.
- Coordinate with banks for IDPMS and EDPMS compliance and reconciliation.
- Maintain proper physical and digital records of all import/export documents and upload relevant documents in the ERP system.
- Maintain MIS reports for overseas payables and receivables in foreign currencies.
- Prepare annual foreign exchange fluctuation (Forex Gain/Loss) workings and support financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with RBI, FEMA, customs, and import/export regulations applicable to financial transactions.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, banks, customs authorities, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of import/export transactions.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
- Good understanding of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger.
- Knowledge of GST, TDS, bank reconciliation, and statutory compliance.
- Working knowledge of import/export documentation and foreign remittance procedures.
- Familiarity with customs clearance processes, IDPMS, EDPMS, FEMA, and RBI guidelines.
- Experience in ERP software (SAP, Oracle, Tally, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent).
- Good understanding of foreign currency transactions and exchange fluctuation accounting.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and reconciliation skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, basic formulas, etc.).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent.
- M.Com / MBA (Finance) will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 2–4 years of experience in Accounts & Finance.
- Experience in import/export accounting and international trade documentation will be preferred.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience in manufacturing, engineering, EPC, or project-based organizations.
- Familiarity with overseas vendor transactions and foreign remittance processes.
- Ability to work independently with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and documentation management skills.
