Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and organized OPD Secretary to manage outpatient department activities efficiently. The candidate should have good communication skills, patient-handling abilities, and experience in hospital administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle patient registration and appointment scheduling for OPD consultations.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other departments for smooth patient flow.
- Maintain patient records, files, and OPD documentation accurately.
- Attend patient queries directly and over phone in a professional manner.
- Manage billing coordination, insurance-related documents, and payment follow-ups when required.
- Ensure proper maintenance of appointment registers and daily reports.
- Assist consultants during OPD hours and coordinate consultation timings.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and hospital records.
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and internal communication effectively.
- Ensure waiting area discipline and provide excellent patient service experience.
- Support hospital administration in day-to-day OPD operations.
- Follow hospital policies, procedures, and quality standards.
