About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Manager/DGM – ESG to lead compliance and sustainability initiatives across manufacturing operations. This role requires expertise in buyer compliance, social responsibility, and global ESG standards, ensuring adherence to ethical and sustainable business practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Buyer Compliance: Lead compliance initiatives across manufacturing units, ensuring alignment with buyer requirements.
- Worker Welfare: Oversee health, safety, fire safety, hygiene, and ethical practices.
- ESG Programs: Manage sustainability reporting and compliance programs across the organization.
- Certifications: Handle certifications such as GOTS, OCS, RCS, RWS, Fairtrade Cotton, FSC, BCI Cotton, etc.
- HIGG Index: Manage assessments and compliance activities.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with Buyers, Merchandising, Mills, Production, and Certification Bodies.
- Responsible Sourcing: Drive adherence to global sourcing and compliance standards.
- Manufacturing Knowledge: Apply strong understanding of textile and garment processes.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in Social Compliance, Buyer Compliance, ESG, or Compliance Management within Textile/Apparel Manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of HIGG Index, ESG, Fairtrade, GOTS, and global compliance standards.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
