Job SummaryWe are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Design Engineer – Seat Trim Covers with 2+ years of experience in automotive seating design. The candidate will be responsible for the design and development of seat trim covers, including seat fabrics, leather covers, foam interfaces, and related components, while ensuring compliance with customer requirements, quality standards, manufacturability, and cost targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop automotive seat trim covers using CATIA V5/V6.
- Create and modify 3D models, 2D drawings, and engineering documentation.
- Develop trim cover concepts considering styling, comfort, fit & finish, durability, and manufacturability.
- Coordinate with seat structure, foam, manufacturing, and supplier teams to ensure design feasibility.
- Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and ensure proper fitment of trim components.
- Support prototype development, validation builds, and production launches.
- Review customer specifications and incorporate design changes as required.
- Participate in design reviews, DFMEA, and engineering change management activities.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve design and quality issues.
- Ensure compliance with automotive standards, customer requirements, and internal design guidelines.
- Experience with BOM creation, engineering change processes, and product lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with automotive development processes and APQP methodologies.
- Good problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Pay: ₹650,000.00 - ₹750,000.00 per month
