About the Role
We are looking for a mid-to-senior Murex Environment & Batch Support Engineer with 6–10 years of experience to keep the MX.3-on-AWS platform stable through hands-on production support, EOD batch monitoring, and DevOps automation. A strong technical background is essential. This is a rotational shift role covering regular day shift and UK shift (3:00 PM – 12:00 AM IST).
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage EOD batch processing on MX.3 — ensuring timely, accurate completion of all batch runs and resolving failures rapidly.
- Provide L2 / L3 production support for Murex MX.3 — triaging, diagnosing, and resolving platform incidents across trading, back office, and risk modules.
- Manage Murex environments across Dev, UAT, and Production — environment provisioning, configuration management, and platform stability on AWS.
- Implement and maintain DevOps automation — CI/CD pipelines, deployment scripts, and infrastructure automation for MX.3 on AWS.
- Manage job scheduling — Control-M / Autosys — configuring dependencies, SLAs, and automated alerting for Murex batch workflows.
- Perform root cause analysis for production incidents — documenting findings and implementing permanent fixes to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams — supporting Murex platform changes, upgrades, and patch deployments.
- Maintain clear operational documentation — runbooks, incident logs, and batch monitoring playbooks.
What We're Looking For
- 6–10 years of Murex MX.3 production support and environment management experience in capital markets environments.
- Strong technical background — Linux / Unix, Shell scripting, SQL, and AWS for MX.3 platform operations.
- Proven EOD batch monitoring and management experience — Control-M / Autosys job scheduling and failure resolution.
- Hands-on AWS experience — EC2, S3, RDS — for Murex infrastructure hosting and management.
- DevOps automation skills — CI/CD pipelines, deployment scripts, and infrastructure automation for MX.3.
- Strong incident management skills — rapid triage, RCA, and resolution under production pressure.
- Good capital markets domain knowledge — trade lifecycle, back office operations, and risk data.
- Willingness and availability to work rotational shifts — including UK shift (3:00 PM – 12:00 AM IST).
