Senior Amazon PPC Manager — Fine Jewelry (8-Figure Account)
Location: Remote (US time zone overlap required) Type: Full-time Compensation: [Base + performance bonus tied to TACoS and profit targets] Reports to: [Founder / Head of E-commerce]
About us
We are a vertically integrated fine jewelry brand — we design and manufacture in-house and sell direct to consumers on Amazon and our own site. Our Amazon business does 8 figures annually across lab-grown diamond, gemstone, and gold jewelry, and we compete head-to-head with the largest brands in the category. We own our margins, our supply chain, and our data, and we are looking for the person who will own our advertising.
The role
You will have full ownership of Amazon advertising for the account — strategy, execution, and P&L accountability. This is not a reporting or coordination role. You will be the operator, with direct access to the founder and to the people who set pricing, inventory, and catalog strategy.
What you'll do:
- Own Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, and DSP across a catalog of 3,000+ ASINs, with a monthly ad budget in the seven figures
- Set and hit targets on TACoS, contribution margin, and BSR position by subcategory — not just ROAS
- Build and maintain campaign architecture at catalog scale: keyword harvesting, negative management, bid rules, budget pacing, dayparting
- Run competitive intelligence on category leaders and adjust strategy based on share-of-voice and rank movement
- Coordinate with catalog and creative on listing quality, title/bullet optimization, A+ content, and Brand Store as they affect ad efficiency
- Plan and execute event strategy (Prime Day, Q4, Valentine's, Mother's Day) including inventory-aware budget allocation
- Build the reporting layer: weekly performance reviews, Search Query Performance analysis, Brand Analytics, and clear attribution across ad-driven vs. organic growth
- Evaluate and manage tooling (bid automation platforms, analytics) and decide when human judgment overrides the software
Who we are looking for
Required:
- Hands-on management of at least one Amazon account doing $10M+ in annual revenue, where you personally ran the campaigns — agency or in-house
- 5+ years in Amazon advertising with a track record you can show, including how you improved TACoS or profitability, not just spend
- Deep fluency with Search Query Performance, Brand Analytics, and Amazon Marketing Cloud
- Comfort working with large catalogs — you know how to structure thousands of ASINs without drowning in campaigns
- Strong grasp of unit economics: you think in contribution margin after returns, not top-line ROAS
- Fluent written English and the ability to work independently across time zones
Strongly preferred:
- Experience in jewelry, watches, or another high-AOV, high-return-rate, gift-driven category
- Experience competing against large branded incumbents in a category, not just launching new products
- Google Ads / Performance Max experience for the same brand or category
- Working knowledge of Python, SQL, or spreadsheet automation for building your own analysis
What we offer
- Real ownership: you set the strategy and have the founder's ear
- A profitable, growing brand with in-house manufacturing — no dropshipping, no thin margins, no inventory games
- Performance bonus tied to outcomes you control
- Long-term engagement — we are looking for someone to build with for years, not a 90-day project
How to apply
Send the following to [email]:
- A short note on the largest Amazon account you have personally run — revenue range, category, and what you changed
- One example of a decision where you overrode the "obvious" play and why
- Your availability, preferred engagement model, and compensation expectations
We will respond to every serious application. Shortlisted candidates will be asked to review an anonymized snapshot of our account data and share a 30-minute assessment.
