DreamZone is seeking a passionate, creative, and student-focused Fashion Faculty member to train and mentor aspiring fashion designers. The ideal candidate has strong practical knowledge of fashion design, garment construction, styling, and current industry trends, with the ability to make learning engaging and career-oriented.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver practical and theory-based classes in fashion design, apparel design, styling, and visual merchandising.
- Train students in sketching, fashion illustration, pattern making, draping, garment construction, basic stitching, textile techniques, and surface ornamentation.
- Guide students in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Canva, and CLO 3D for fashion presentations and design development.
- Plan lesson materials, assignments, workshops, demonstrations, and assessments.
- Mentor students on portfolios, collections, fashion shows, projects, and industry readiness.
- Stay updated on fashion trends, sustainable practices, fabrics, crafts, and design technologies.
- Maintain a positive classroom environment and support student progress.
- Coordinate with the academic team for events, exhibitions, student work reviews, and placement-oriented activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of fashion design principles, garment construction, pattern making, draping, and styling.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, CLO 3D, and Canva.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to teach, motivate, and mentor students with patience and creativity.
- Industry experience in fashion design, retail, visual merchandising, fashion consulting, or related roles is preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Manual fashion illustration and sketching
- Textile crafts, block printing, embroidery, hand painting, and jewellery making
- Social media creative design and fashion content creation
- Portfolio development and fashion-show coordination
- Fluency in English and Kannada; Hindi is an added advantage
