The Sales Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end sales operations function to ensure efficient sales execution, effective team planning, structured follow-up management, accurate reporting, and achievement of business targets. The role acts as a key link between Sales, Marketing, HR, Design & Development, Clinical, Production, Finance, Customer Support, and Leadership, ensuring that people, processes, systems, and resources are effectively utilized to drive business growth.
The Sales Operations Manager is expected to bring strong planning, execution, team coordination, follow-up discipline, performance management, and process improvement capabilities. The role requires effective utilization of tools such as TeleCRM and PeopleHum to ensure systematic lead follow-ups, task allocation, team productivity, training execution, and accountability.
Sales Operations & Planning
- Oversee day-to-day sales operations and ensure smooth, structured, and timely execution of sales activities.
- Develop daily, weekly, and monthly work plans for the sales team, clearly defining priorities, activities, targets, and expected outcomes.
- Plan and allocate team activities based on business priorities, workload, individual capabilities, and sales requirements.
- Monitor execution against planned activities and proactively address delays, gaps, and productivity issues.
- Ensure every team member has clearly defined responsibilities, targets, priorities, and timelines.
- Use Project Management tool to effectively for assigning, tracking, and monitoring tasks across team members.
- Build a culture of ownership, accountability, timely execution, and measurable performance.
CRM & Follow-Up Management
- Effectively utilize CRM to manage leads, customer interactions, follow-ups, reminders, opportunities, and sales pipeline activities.
- Establish a structured follow-up system to ensure no lead, customer, opportunity, or pending action is missed.
- Ensure sales representatives maintain accurate and timely CRM records and update lead status, follow-up dates, outcomes, and next actions.
- Review pending and overdue follow-ups calls and meetings regularly and take corrective action to improve follow-up discipline and conversion.
- Use CRM data to identify pipeline gaps, inactive leads, delayed opportunities, and potential revenue opportunities.
- Develop and implement systematic daily follow-up plans and review mechanisms for the sales team.
Training & Team Development
- Identify training requirements based on individual and team performance gaps.
- Develop and maintain a structured sales training calendar covering product knowledge, sales processes, CRM usage, communication, objection handling, customer management, and other relevant areas.
- Plan and coordinate induction, refresher, process, product, and skill-development training for sales team members.
- Ensure training activities are properly scheduled, assigned, conducted, and tracked.
- Evaluate training effectiveness through performance improvements, assessments, feedback, and business outcomes.
- Work with department heads and subject-matter experts to organize cross-functional training wherever required.
Sales Performance Management
- Monitor sales targets, revenue achievement, lead conversion, pipeline value, follow-up performance, productivity, and other key sales KPIs.
- Conduct regular daily, weekly, and monthly performance reviews with the sales team.
- Track individual and team performance against planned activities and targets.
- Identify underperformance, operational gaps, and productivity issues and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Provide leadership with clear insights into sales performance, pipeline health, risks, opportunities, and forecasted outcomes.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate effectively between Sales, Marketing, HR, Design & Development, Clinical, Production, Finance, Customer Support, and other departments.
- Ensure timely handover of customer requirements, orders, documentation, approvals, production requirements, and service commitments.
- Coordinate with Finance regarding billing, collections, outstanding payments, and revenue realization.
- Work with Production, Clinical, and Customer Support teams to ensure timely fulfillment of customer requests and issues.
Process Improvement & Reporting
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve sales SOPs, workflows, checklists, review mechanisms, and operational processes.
- Identify bottlenecks and recurring operational issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Drive automation and effective utilization of CRM, HRMS, dashboards, and other digital tools.
- Prepare and maintain accurate sales MIS, dashboards, trackers, performance reports, pipeline reports, and management updates.
- Analyze operational and sales data and recommend improvements to increase productivity, conversion, customer satisfaction, revenue, and profitability.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, approval processes, quality standards, and internal procedures.
Leadership Support
- Support leadership in sales planning, target setting, forecasting, resource planning, team capacity planning, and business growth initiatives.
- Provide timely escalation of operational risks, performance concerns, customer issues, and resource constraints.
- Ensure organizational priorities are translated into clear team-level plans and measurable actions.
- Drive a culture of planning before execution, systematic follow-up, accountability, continuous improvement, and results orientation.
Pay: ₹500,824.43 - ₹700,088.35 per year
