SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
Location: Kozhikode (Calicut), Kerala

Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹50,000 per month (depending on qualifications and experience)

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Kozhikode. The successful candidate will work directly with the business owner and be responsible for managing accounting and finance functions across multiple group entities.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities for group companies
- Maintain books of accounts and accounting records.
- Record and review sales invoices, purchase invoices and financial transactions.
- Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and management information reports (MIS).
- Monitor customer receivables and prepare ageing reports.
- Follow up customers through email regarding outstanding payments.
- Monitor accounts payable and vendor balances.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow monitoring.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants and external service providers.
- Maintain accounting documentation and filing systems.
- Assist with implementation and improvement of financial systems and internal processes.
- Support management with financial analysis and decision-making.
Requirements
- M.Com, B.Com or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience using accounting software or ERP systems.
- Ability to independently manage accounting responsibilities with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, transportation, customs clearance or trading industries.
- Experience handling accounts for multiple companies or group entities.
- Experience working with GCC-based companies, particularly Oman or UAE.
- Exposure to ERP implementation or process improvement initiatives.
