Job Summary
Unipath Lab is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Histopathology Technician to support the Histopathology Department in routine laboratory operations. The candidate will assist in specimen processing, tissue preparation, staining procedures, slide handling, and maintaining laboratory quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, label, and process histopathology specimens accurately.
- Perform tissue grossing assistance, embedding, microtomy, and slide preparation.
- Carry out routine staining procedures such as H&E staining and special stains as required.
- Maintain proper documentation and laboratory records.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of tissue samples and blocks.
- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Follow laboratory SOPs, safety protocols, and quality control procedures.
- Coordinate with pathologists and laboratory staff for smooth workflow.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the histopathology section.
- Assist in inventory management of reagents and consumables.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of histopathology laboratory procedures.
- Understanding of tissue processing and staining techniques.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in laboratory work.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
- Basic computer knowledge for documentation and reporting.
Eligibility Criteria
- DMLT / BMLT / B.Sc MLT or equivalent qualification.
- Freshers are welcome to apply.
- Experience in histopathology laboratory will be an added advantage.
