We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Production Chemist with 3 years of hands-on experience in chemical manufacturing and production operations. The candidate will be responsible for executing batch manufacturing processes, monitoring production parameters, ensuring product quality, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle and monitor day-to-day production activities in the chemical manufacturing unit.
- Execute batch processes as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor reaction parameters such as temperature, pressure, pH, and process timings.
- Maintain production records, batch sheets, and logbooks accurately.
- Ensure adherence to GMP, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Coordinate with Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) teams for product approvals.
- Troubleshoot production issues and support process optimization activities.
- Ensure proper handling of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the production area.
- Support preventive maintenance and calibration activities for production equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry / Industrial Chemistry / Chemical Science.
- 3 years of experience in chemical, pharmaceutical, paint, agrochemical, or related manufacturing industries.
- Knowledge of production processes, chemical handling, and safety procedures.
- Familiarity with GMP, ISO standards, and documentation practices.
- Basic understanding of laboratory testing and analytical techniques.
Skills Required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in shift operations if required.
- Knowledge of MS Office and production documentation.
- Attention to detail and process discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in reactor handling and batch manufacturing.
- Knowledge of EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) practices.
- Exposure to SAP/ERP systems is an added advantage.
