Job Description: Primary Science Teacher
A primary science teacher introduces young children under 12 to foundational scientific concepts, encourages natural curiosity, and builds basic inquiry skills through fun activities. Core duties include planning simple lessons, running safe hands-on demonstrations, and tracking student progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Lesson Planning: Create age-appropriate science and environmental lessons that match school curriculum standards.
- Interactive Learning: Lead simple, safe experiments and visual demonstrations to explain how the natural world works.
- Student Assessment: Grade quizzes, track participation, and give helpful feedback to children and parents.
- Classroom Safety: Keep children safe during hands-on activities and teach them basic rules for handling materials.
Job Requirements and Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education or a science-related field, plus a valid state or regional teaching license.
- Communication: Clear verbal skills to explain big ideas in simple ways for young minds.
- Patience & Energy: Ability to manage a lively classroom and answer lots of curious questions.
