Job Summary :
Siri Oaks Management Inc is seeking a Civil Engineer or Architect with a minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial construction estimation, BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, tendering, and bidding. The ideal candidate will identify commercial construction bidding opportunities, review construction drawings and specifications, prepare accurate BOQs and cost estimates, understand project scope, and assist in preparing competitive bids. The role also involves communicating with owners, architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders to obtain project documents, clarify bid requirements, and support the bidding process. Training will be provided on U.S. commercial construction bidding procedures and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and track private commercial construction bidding opportunities through online bidding platforms.
- Review project advertisements and evaluate bidding opportunities.
- Contact owners, architects, engineers, and project stakeholders to obtain plans, specifications, addenda, and bid documents.
- Read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, MEP, and site drawings to understand the complete project scope.
- Prepare BOQs, quantity take-offs, and detailed cost estimates from construction drawings.
- Analyze project scope, specifications, and construction requirements to prepare competitive bids.
- Review bid documents and identify missing information, discrepancies, or scope gaps.
- Assist in preparing complete bid proposals and supporting documentation.
- Track bid deadlines, addenda, and submission requirements to ensure timely submissions.
- Maintain organized records of bidding opportunities, project documents, and bid status.
- Coordinate with the management team throughout the bidding process.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) or Architecture (B.Arch).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial construction estimation, BOQ preparation, tendering, and bidding.
- Strong experience in quantity take-offs and cost estimation.
- Minimum 2 years of AutoCAD experience (mandatory).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (mandatory).
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, MEP, and site drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Experience with commercial construction projects (private projects preferred).
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple bids, prioritize tasks, and work independently in a deadline-driven environment.
- Willingness to learn U.S. commercial construction bidding procedures and standards (training will be provided).
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
