The Bodyshop Manager is responsible for managing complete bodyshop operations including accident repair, denting, painting, insurance coordination, customer satisfaction, productivity, quality control, and team management. The role ensures timely delivery of vehicles with high repair quality and maximum profitability.
Key Responsibilities Operations Management
- Manage day-to-day bodyshop operations efficiently.
- Ensure proper allocation of repair jobs to technicians.
- Monitor vehicle repair progress and ensure on-time delivery.
- Maintain workshop discipline, safety, and cleanliness.
- Improve bodyshop productivity and efficiency.
Customer Handling
- Interact with customers regarding accident repairs and estimations.
- Ensure excellent customer satisfaction and complaint resolution.
- Provide regular updates to customers about repair status.
- Handle difficult customer situations professionally.
Insurance Coordination
- Coordinate with insurance surveyors for claim approvals.
- Verify repair estimates and insurance documentation.
- Ensure smooth insurance claim processing and billing.
- Minimize claim rejections and delays.
Quality Control
- Ensure all repairs meet company quality standards.
- Monitor paint quality, denting, fitting, and finishing works.
- Conduct final inspection before vehicle delivery.
- Reduce repeat repairs and warranty claims.
Team Management
- Supervise bodyshop advisors, technicians, painters, and support staff.
- Conduct daily meetings and performance reviews.
- Train and motivate team members for better performance.
- Maintain manpower productivity and attendance.
Inventory & Cost Control
- Monitor spare parts usage and material consumption.
- Control paint and consumable wastage.
- Coordinate with spare parts department for availability.
- Maintain profitability and cost efficiency.
MIS & Reporting
- Prepare daily and monthly performance reports.
- Track KPIs such as productivity, revenue, efficiency, and CSI.
- Maintain proper job card and repair documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and audit requirements.
Required Skills

Qualification
- Diploma / Degree in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering
- ITI with relevant experience can also be considered
Experience
- 5 to 10 years in automobile bodyshop operations
- Minimum 2 years in supervisory/managerial role preferred
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
