Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Trade Finance QA / Test Automation Engineer with 7+ years of experience in software testing and strong domain expertise in Trade Finance. The candidate should have hands on experience across manual and automation testing, with preference given to candidates who have worked on Trade 360 or similar Trade Finance platforms.
The ideal candidate will combine strong Trade Finance domain knowledge with excellent testing fundamentals, automation skills, and the ability to work closely with business, development, and technology teams.
Key Responsibilities
. Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and end to end testing of Trade Finance applications.
. Apply strong Trade Finance domain knowledge to design effective test scenarios and validate business workflows.
. Develop and execute test cases covering Letters of Credit, Guarantees, Documentary Collections, Trade Loans, and related Trade Finance processes.
. Work on Trade 360 or similar Trade Finance platforms, including configuration, workflows, interfaces, and downstream integrations.
. Develop and maintain test automation scripts/frameworks for repetitive and regression test scenarios.
. Identify suitable candidates for automation and drive manual to automation transformation.
. Perform API and integration testing across Trade Finance applications and connected systems.
. Validate data across applications, databases, and interfaces using SQL where applicable.
. Analyze test failures, perform defect investigation, and collaborate with development teams for resolution.
. Participate in test planning, estimation, execution, defect management, and reporting.
. Support SIT, UAT, regression, production validation, and release testing.
. Work closely with business analysts, developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into comprehensive test scenarios.
. Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to improving testing standards, processes, and automation practices.
Required Skills – Must Have
. 7+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance / Testing.
. Strong Trade Finance domain experience.
. Hands on experience in manual testing with strong functional and business process understanding.
. Experience in test automation using tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Java, Python, or equivalent.
. Strong experience in functional, integration, regression, and end to end testing.
. Good understanding of API testing and system integrations.
. Good knowledge of SQL and database validation.
. Experience with Agile/Scrum development and QA methodologies.
. Strong experience in test case design, execution, defect management, and test reporting.
. Ability to independently analyze complex business scenarios and create comprehensive test coverage.
Preferred Skills
. Trade 360 experience is highly preferred.
. Experience testing Trade Finance platforms and workflows.
. Experience with Letters of Credit (LC), Bank Guarantees, Documentary Collections, Trade Loans, and related Trade Finance products.
. Experience with API automation and integration testing.
. Experience with CI/CD and automated regression execution.
. Exposure to tools such as qTest, Jira, ALM, Selenium, Playwright, Postman, or similar tools.
. Experience with banking / financial services applications.
. Knowledge of Trade Finance messaging and interfaces such as SWIFT is an advantage.
