Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Fitter to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for assembly, installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment and machinery, ensuring smooth plant operations and adherence to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, install, and align mechanical equipment and machinery as per drawings and specifications.
- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and perform necessary repairs.
- Handle fitting, grinding, drilling, cutting, and fabrication-related activities.
- Ensure proper lubrication and maintenance of plant equipment.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical manuals.
- Inspect equipment and identify potential issues before breakdowns occur.
- Maintain maintenance records and daily work reports.
- Coordinate with production and maintenance teams for machine availability.
- Follow all safety procedures and company regulations while performing maintenance activities.
- Support installation and commissioning of new equipment when required.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of mechanical maintenance and fitting activities.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and use measuring instruments.
- Experience in preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment.
- Basic welding and fabrication knowledge is an added advantage.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- ITI Fitter with minimum 3 years of industrial experience.
- Experience in manufacturing or engineering industries preferred.
- Willingness to work in shifts if required.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
Salary
As per company standards and experience.
