AutoCAD Plant 3D Piping Designer
We are looking for an AutoCAD Plant 3D Piping Designer to join our engineering team in Chennai.
The candidate should have practical experience in 3D piping modelling, equipment layout, piping routing and preparation of piping deliverables using AutoCAD Plant 3D.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and modify 3D piping models using AutoCAD Plant 3D
- Perform piping routing based on P&IDs, equipment layouts and engineering inputs
- Model piping components, valves, fittings and equipment connections
- Prepare and extract piping isometric drawings
- Prepare orthographic / layout drawings as required
- Check piping for accessibility, maintainability and basic constructability
- Coordinate with piping, mechanical, process and other engineering disciplines
- Update models and drawings based on engineering comments and revisions
- Maintain proper drawing standards and project documentation
Candidate Requirements
- Hands-on working knowledge of AutoCAD Plant 3D
- Good understanding of piping components, fittings, valves, flanges and piping layouts
- Ability to understand P&IDs and equipment layouts
- Experience with isometric generation and piping drawings
- Basic knowledge of Navisworks will be an advantage
- Experience in Mining, Mineral Processing, Oil & Gas, Chemical or Process Plant projects will be an advantage
- Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant engineering discipline preferred
