About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Cook to join a leading catering services organization in Ahmedabad. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, maintaining food safety standards, supervising kitchen activities, and ensuring efficient food production for large-scale catering operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals as per standardized recipes and quality guidelines.
- Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.
- Assist in planning daily food production and kitchen operations.
- Supervise junior cooks and kitchen helpers during food preparation.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and utilization of ingredients.
- Monitor food quality and report any issues related to raw materials or production.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation standards in the kitchen.
- Minimize food wastage and support cost-control initiatives.
- Coordinate with Kitchen Supervisors and Chefs to ensure smooth operations.
- Follow food safety regulations and company policies at all times.
Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Cook, Senior Cook, Commis, or similar role.
- Experience in catering services, industrial catering, hotels, restaurants, canteens, or hospitality operations preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Indian cuisine and bulk food preparation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience handling large-scale food production.
- Knowledge of inventory control and kitchen operations.
- Ability to guide and support junior kitchen staff.
- Familiarity with food quality and hygiene compliance practices.
Pay: ₹28,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
