We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Sales & Marketing Manager for our Freight Forwarding division. The candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth through air, sea, and land logistics services by acquiring new clients, managing key accounts, and leading the sales team.
The ideal candidate should have strong industry knowledge, excellent client relationships, and a proven track record in freight forwarding sales.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development
- Identify and acquire new clients including Importers, Exporters, and CHAs.
- Generate new business opportunities to expand market share.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and industry partners.
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies aligned with business goals.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and pricing strategies for clients.
Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team.
- Set KPIs and monitor team performance regularly.
- Conduct joint sales visits and support team members in closing business opportunities.
Pricing & Negotiation
- Negotiate freight rates and tariffs with shipping lines, airlines, and transport vendors.
- Offer competitive logistics solutions to clients.
Key Account Management
- Maintain long-term relationships with key customers.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction and retention.
Internal Coordination
- Coordinate with Operations, Finance, and Customer Service teams for smooth shipment execution.
- Follow up on payments and ensure adherence to credit terms.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Revenue and profit growth
- Lead generation and conversion ratio
- Client retention and customer satisfaction
- Number of customer visits and meetings
- Timely collection of outstanding payments
Requirements & Qualifications
- 3–10 years of experience in Freight Forwarding Sales.
- Minimum 1–2 years of team handling/managerial experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of Air Freight, Sea Freight, Import/Export documentation, and international trade regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
- MBA will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of Digital Marketing and Campaign Management preferred.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Existing customer base or carrier relationships will be an added advantage.
- Self-motivated with a strong “hunter” approach towards sales.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
