Job Summary
Chungath Jewellery is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our M.G. Road showroom in Thiruvananthapuram. Candidates with prior experience in the jewellery industry will be given preference. The ideal candidate should have strong accounting knowledge, GST compliance experience, and the ability to manage daily financial transactions accurately. Chungath has previously listed Accountant openings for its Trivandrum branch, with experienced candidates preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain day-to-day accounting records and financial transactions.
- Handle cash, bank, and ledger reconciliation.
- Prepare GST returns, TDS, and other statutory compliance reports.
- Manage purchase, sales, and inventory accounting.
- Verify gold stock, customer advances, and billing records.
- Process vendor payments and customer refunds.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
- Assist in audits and maintain accurate financial documentation.
- Coordinate with showroom management and the finance team.
Eligibility
- B.Com, M.Com, or equivalent qualification.
- Jewellery industry experience preferred.
- Minimum 2–5 years of accounting experience.
- Knowledge of Tally ERP/Prime, MS Excel, and GST.
- Good analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in jewellery billing and inventory accounting.
- Knowledge of gold stock management and valuation.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Team player with good organizational skills.
