Job description
Taking responsibility for the entire logistics lifecycle and operations, including but not limited to planning, procurement, inventory control, rate-setting, outsourcing, vendor selection, and distribution. Work towards strengthening & expanding the organisation's logistics supply chain and manage activities Pan-India.
Roles and responsibilities
- Coordinates development of solutions to complex logistics support problems with other product support functions, customers, and suppliers
- Develop and implement logistics plans inclusive of supplier contracts, routing guidelines, problem resolution and cost containment
- Develop and Implement Last Mile Delivery Strategy
- Develop and Implement strategies to establish full-fledged Distribution and Fulfilment Centres
- Develop strategy to expand Logistics, Operations and Warehousing Pan-India
- Manage third party vendor relationships
- Evaluate Logistics Supply Chain needs and selection
- Work effectively across the organisation to ensure successful execution of logistics operations and support
- Identify opportunities to implement process improvement and efficiency
- Execute lead to drive best practice through process and technology
- Establish key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to group logistics planning
Desired Profile
5+ Years of relevant experience Knowledge in Supply Chain Management, Last Mile Delivery, Distribution and Fulfilment Centres' Management (experience preferred) Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment Understands market dynamics as well as the legal and regulatory landscape Confident, able to articulate and able to influence at all levels with exceptional leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
