AI/ML Intern — Nextroy Dynamics Private Limited, Hyderabad
We’re seeking a motivated AI/ML Intern to join our product and R&D team and help develop practical machine learning solutions for robotics, computer vision, and autonomous systems used in our courses and projects. You’ll work on real-world datasets, prototype models, and support deployment to embedded platforms and cloud services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in designing, training, and evaluating machine learning models for tasks such as image classification, object detection, pose estimation, and sensor data analysis.
- Preprocess and annotate datasets; implement data augmentation and pipeline automation to improve model robustness.
- Prototype models using PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar frameworks; optimize models for accuracy, latency, and size.
- Work on transfer learning, fine-tuning pre-trained models, and experimenting with architectures (CNNs, Transformers, lightweight models like MobileNet, YOLO-tiny).
- Collaborate with robotics/embedded team to convert and deploy models to edge devices (Raspberry Pi, Jetson Nano, microcontrollers) and test in real-world scenarios.
- Implement basic MLOps practices: version control for experiments, model saving/loading, and creating reproducible training scripts.
- Build simple dashboards or reports to visualize model performance and key metrics; maintain documentation of experiments and results.
- Support course content by helping create demo notebooks, project templates, and lab exercises for students.
- Stay updated on AI/ML research and practical tools; propose improvements and new project ideas.
Requirements:
- Pursuing or recently completed B.Tech/M.Tech/MSc in Computer Science, Electronics, AI, or related field.
- 0–1 year internship experience in ML/AI roles preferred; strong academic projects or personal projects accepted.
- Solid Python skills and familiarity with ML libraries (PyTorch, TensorFlow/Keras, scikit-learn, OpenCV).
- Basic understanding of deep learning fundamentals, loss functions, optimization, and evaluation metrics.
- Exposure to computer vision, CNNs, object detection frameworks (YOLO, SSD), or transformer-based models is a plus.
- Familiarity with data handling (Pandas, NumPy), visualization (Matplotlib, Seaborn), and basic Linux command-line.
- Interest or experience in deploying models to edge devices (Jetson, Raspberry Pi) or using ONNX/TensorRT is advantageous.
- Good communication skills in English, Hindi, and/or Telugu; ability to explain technical concepts clearly to students and non-technical teammates.
- Problem-solving mindset, eagerness to learn, and ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Available for 6-day shifts (9 AM - 6 PM) or flexible hours for students.
