Job Description – Import Documentation Executive (Banking & Import Operations)
Location: Bandra West, Mumbai
Key Responsibilities
- Handle end-to-end import documentation and coordinate with banks for all import-related transactions.
- Process import payments through Letter of Credit (LC), Advance Remittance, TT (Wire Transfer), DA/DP transactions, and other approved banking instruments.
- Coordinate with banks for foreign remittances, import bill settlements, bank guarantees, and document acceptance.
- Prepare, verify, and submit import documents including Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading/AWB, Bill of Entry, Insurance, and other statutory documents.
- Ensure timely processing of import payments in coordination with the Finance and Accounts team.
- Liaise with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers (CHA), and banks for smooth execution of import shipments.
- Track shipment status, document discrepancies, payment due dates, and customs clearance activities.
- Maintain records of import documents, bank correspondence, remittances, and payment acknowledgements.
- Reconcile import payments, bank charges, and foreign currency transactions.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Stores, Logistics, Finance, and Accounts for seamless import operations.
- Support internal and statutory audits by providing import and banking-related documentation.
- Maintain MIS and reports related to import transactions, outstanding payments, and shipment status.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in import documentation, international trade, and banking operations.
- Strong knowledge of import documentation, LC, BG, foreign remittances,
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems.
- Good communication, documentation, and coordination skills.
Preferred Industry
Manufacturing, Engineering, Electrical, EPC, Industrial Equipment, Import-Export, or Trading.
CTC : Upto 4.3 lpa
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
