Job Title: Site Civil Engineer – Roads, Water & Civil Works
Location: Karnataka (Project Sites)
We are looking for a highly professional, experienced, and result-oriented Site Civil Engineer to independently manage the execution of government infrastructure projects involving roads, water infrastructure, and allied civil works. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively with government departments, consultants, subcontractors, and local stakeholders to ensure timely, quality project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Project Execution
- Independently plan, supervise, and execute road works, water infrastructure projects, and other civil works as per approved drawings, BOQs, specifications, and contract conditions.
- Monitor day-to-day site activities, labour, machinery, materials, and subcontractor performance.
- Ensure projects are completed within the stipulated timeline, budget, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with survey teams for setting out, quantity verification, and execution.
Subcontractor & Resource Management
- Identify, negotiate with, and arrange reliable subcontractors for various project activities.
- Ensure timely mobilization of labour, machinery, equipment, and materials.
- Supervise subcontractors to ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and as per project specifications.
- Resolve subcontractor-related issues and maintain productivity throughout the project.
Government Client Coordination
- Liaise with government departments, engineers, consultants, and client representatives throughout the project lifecycle.
- Attend inspections, review meetings, and progress discussions with departmental officials.
- Resolve technical and execution-related issues professionally while maintaining excellent client relationships.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, departmental requirements, and project specifications.
Public & Stakeholder Management
- Handle issues involving traffic management, utility coordination, local residents, businesses, and other stakeholders during project execution.
- Coordinate with local authorities and utility agencies to ensure uninterrupted progress.
- Resolve public grievances professionally while minimizing disruption to ongoing works.
Quality, Safety & Documentation
- Ensure strict adherence to quality control procedures, safety standards, and contractual requirements.
- Maintain daily progress reports, site diaries, Measurement Books (MB), inspection records, and project documentation.
- Verify executed quantities and assist in preparing RA bills, final bills, and project documentation.
- Coordinate material testing, inspections, and approvals with client representatives.
Team Management
- Lead and supervise site engineers, supervisors, surveyors, operators, and labour teams.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, and project resources.
- Maintain discipline, productivity, and safety across all site operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in government infrastructure projects involving roads, water infrastructure, and civil works.
- Experience working with departments such as PWD, BBMP, BWSSB, KUWSDB, KNNL, CPWD, NHAI, or similar government agencies will be preferred.
- Strong understanding of BOQs, drawings, specifications, contract execution, billing, and project documentation.
Required Skills
- Professional attitude with strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
- Proven experience in independently handling government infrastructure projects from commencement to completion.
- Ability to source, negotiate, and manage subcontractors for efficient project execution.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills with government officials, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and the public.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle execution challenges in public infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and project documentation.
- Willingness to travel and stay at project sites across Karnataka as required.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
