vConstruct is seeking experienced Interior Design Architects to join its Design Services team to support the delivery of Design-Build and Design-Assist projects. This role exists to bridge the gap between design vision and technical execution, ensuring architectural intent is preserved while achieving constructability, compliance, and cost efficiency.
This role would fit an experienced architectural professional with strong experience in Interior Fitout projects across commercial, hospitality, healthcare, and data centre sectors. The role requires expertise in interior architecture, technical detailing, fitout documentation, finish and material coordination, construction drawings, and execution support.
The candidate work closely with US Project Architects, Design Managers, Consultants, Self-perform (or site crews) to provide coordinated drawings for permit and construction, clear technical details, material information, shop drawing/RFI support, and practical design solutions for efficient and buildable fitout delivery. The role also involves leading and mentoring team members, with focus on documentation quality, design coordination, constructability, and successful site execution.

Key Responsibilities

Support and collaborate on the interior architecture design development through Concept, Schematic Design (SD), Design Development (DD), Construction Documents (CD), and Construction Administration (CA) phases.

Conduct design validation, requirement test fits, evaluate functional adjacencies for space planning and develop vibrant and aesthetic design solutions to meet project requirements.

Lead and coordinate the development of interior architectural deliverables, including drawings, details, shop drawings, and submittals across multiple project scopes.

Independently perform constructability and coordination reviews for interior systems, proactively identifying and resolving design conflicts.

Apply in-depth knowledge of building codes, accessibility requirements, interior standards, specifications, and construction methodologies to inform design decisions.

Develop, evaluate, and detail interior assemblies, including partitions, ceilings, millwork, wall finishes, doors and hardware, and exterior envelope interfaces.

Collaborate closely with design leaders, project teams, structural engineers, self-perform scope leads, design managers, and MEP consultants to deliver fully coordinated interior solutions.

Produce conceptual renderings and visual materials to communicate design intent during early project phases.

Oversee the development, organization, and maintenance of interior architectural detail libraries and design content.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of design standards, documentation practices, and workflows to enhance consistency and efficiency.

Support design revisions, RFIs, value engineering initiatives, construction-phase clarifications and construction Administration activities throughout the project lifecycle.

Ensure and maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and consistency across deliverables by developing, establishing and following QAQC requirements on projects.

Collaborating with peers and Service leads on project management responsibilities such as project planning, workload and staffing requirements and project billing.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Experience & Skills

6-10 years of professional experience as an Interior Architectural Designer in the AEC industry.

Education background - Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or specialization in Interior Architecture

Proven experience delivering interior architectural design solutions from concept through construction documentation in workplace interiors or hospitality projects.

Proven ability to independently lead interior build-out scopes for Design-Build projects, including coordination with structural, envelope, and MEPF systems.

Expertise in material selection, application, and documentation for interior finishes, with knowledge of U.S. codes and standards considered a plus.

Experience in site execution and project coordination, ensuring alignment with site conditions and effective project delivery would be an advantage.

Advanced proficiency in Revit for interior architectural modeling, documentation, detail development, templates and parametric families.

Working knowledge of design coordination and documentation review platforms such as Navisworks, Revizto, ACC, Bluebeam.

Experience with SketchUp and visualization tools such as Enscape; familiarity with Rhino and Grasshopper is an added benefit.
