We are looking for a dynamic and experienced General Manager – Sales to lead our sales function, drive revenue growth, and build a high-performing sales team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve business and revenue goals.
- Lead, manage, and mentor the sales team to consistently meet and exceed targets.
- Drive customer acquisition, conversion, and retention through effective sales planning.
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance and implement improvement plans where required.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline and ensure healthy conversion rates.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Operations, and Customer Success teams to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
- Analyze sales metrics, market trends, and customer insights to identify new business opportunities.
- Conduct regular training, coaching, and performance reviews for team members.
- Ensure adherence to sales processes, CRM usage, and reporting standards.
- Prepare sales forecasts, MIS reports, and business updates for leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or a related field. An MBA is preferred.
- 7–12 years of experience in Sales, with a strong background in D2C or B2C businesses.
- Prior experience in the Caregiving, Healthcare Services, Home Services, EdTech, or a similar consumer-focused industry is highly preferred.
- Proven experience in leading and managing sales teams with consistent achievement of revenue targets.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to drive growth in a fast-paced environment.
Required Skills
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
- Strong sales planning, forecasting, and pipeline management experience.
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Data-driven decision-making and analytical abilities.
- Experience using CRM tools and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to motivate teams and drive a high-performance culture.
Language Requirements
- Fluency in English (spoken and written).
- Strong communication skills in Hindi.
- Ability to speak and understand at least one regional language (Kannada preferred).
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience in Caregiving, Healthcare Services, Home Services, EdTech, or other high-volume D2C/B2C organizations.
- Demonstrated success in scaling sales teams and improving revenue performance.
- Strong customer-centric mindset with the ability to build long-term relationships.
- Comfortable working in a target-driven, fast-growing organization.
