Job Summary
We are seeking experienced and detail oriented CPC Certified Medical Coders to join our growing healthcare team. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of medical coding guidelines, ICD 10 CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding standards, along with the ability to ensure accurate coding and compliance with client and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Review medical records and assign accurate ICD 10 CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
- Ensure coding compliance with payer specific and industry guidelines.
- Analyze physician documentation to support code assignment.
- Maintain productivity and quality standards as defined by the organization.
- Identify coding discrepancies and communicate with relevant stakeholders for clarification.
- Stay updated on coding regulations, payer policies, and industry changes.
- Participate in quality audits and implement corrective actions when required.
Eligibility Criteria
- Active CPC Certification from AAPC is mandatory.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in medical coding.
- Good understanding of Anatomy, Physiology, Medical Terminology, ICD 10 CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work in permanent night shifts.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in specialty coding is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with EHR and healthcare documentation systems.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare compliance standards.
