Job Description:
The Account Manager (Plant) will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations at the plant level, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, accurate financial reporting, and effective management of plant-related financial tasks such as inventory management, accounts payable/receivable, taxation, and cost control. The role also involves coordinating with the corporate finance team to ensure alignment with overall financial strategies.
Job Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations at the plant, including inventory, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports specific to plant operations.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of plant financial statements.
- Conduct variance analysis of plant financial performance against budgeted figures.
Inventory Accounting:
- Oversee inventory management and reconciliation of inventory ledgers with physical counts.
- Ensure accurate costing and valuation of inventory in compliance with accounting standards.
Tax Compliance:
- Handle GST, TDS, and other plant-specific tax compliance.
- Ensure timely filing of returns and remittance of taxes.
- Coordinate with internal auditors and external auditors for tax-related matters.
Accounts Payable & Receivable:
- Manage plant-level vendor bills, purchase orders, and payment processing.
- Ensure proper recording and reconciliation of sales purchase bills.
- Manage customer billing, follow-up on receivables, and resolve payment disputes
Cost Control & Budgeting:
- Assist in the preparation of plant budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor expenses to ensure adherence to the budget and recommend cost-saving measures.
- Implement internal controls to reduce wastage and inefficiency
Collaboration with Corporate Finance:
- Coordinate with the corporate finance team on financial reporting, taxation, and compliance issues.
- Align plant-level accounting processes with company-wide financial policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CA qualification is Preferred.
- Proven experience in direct and indirect taxation, statutory compliance, and financial management.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
