We are seeking a highly skilled and creative WordPress Developer to join our team. You will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including the creation of custom themes and plugins. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for responsive design, a solid understanding of web development languages, and a passion for building user-friendly, high-performing websites.
Key Responsibilities
- Website Development: Design, build, and maintain highly customized, responsive WordPress websites.
- Architecture & Database: Establish and guide the overall website architecture, managing back-end development including database management and server integration.
- Themes & Plugins: Develop, test, and integrate custom WordPress themes and plugins to enhance site functionality.
- Performance & SEO Optimization: Troubleshoot technical issues, optimize site load speeds, and ensure websites follow SEO best practices.
- Security & Maintenance: Implement robust security measures and manage routine site updates, backups, and troubleshooting.
- Client Collaboration: Work closely with design and marketing teams to translate client requirements into functional, visual web solutions.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Core Languages: Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and PHP.
- WordPress Expertise: Deep understanding of the WordPress core, theme hierarchy, and plugin ecosystem.
- Tools & Builders: Familiarity with page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery, or Gutenberg blocks), version control (Git), and local development environments (e.g., Local by Flywheel).
- Responsive Design: Strong ability to ensure seamless compatibility across all devices (mobile, tablet, and desktop).
- Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to train clients on managing their WordPress dashboard.
