We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Solar PV Designer with hands-on experience in designing rooftop and ground-mounted solar systems. The role involves end-to-end design responsibility, including system calculations, BOM preparation, and supporting project execution for commercial & industrial (C&I) solar projects.
Key Responsibilities:1. Design & Engineering
- Design and develop solar PV systems for rooftop and ground-mounted projects.
- Perform accurate system sizing, generation estimation, and technical calculations.
- Create array layouts, Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), panel schedules, and connection diagrams using CAD tools.
- Develop detailed engineering designs including PML, conduit & cable routing, wire sizing, and equipment layout plans.
- Generate 3D conceptual designs and optimized system layouts.
- Run PVsyst simulations for performance analysis and energy yield estimation.
- Ensure all designs comply with grid standards, DISCOM guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
2. BOM & Documentation
- Prepare detailed Bill of Materials (BOM) based on system design and specifications.
- Develop BOQs, technical documentation, and design reports.
- Support proposal and tender documentation with technical inputs.
3. Project Execution & Coordination
- Coordinate with sales, project management, procurement, and installation teams.
- Oversee and support project execution activities to ensure design accuracy.
- Conduct site feasibility analysis and resolve design-related challenges.
- Troubleshoot design and construction issues at site.
- Ensure projects are delivered within timelines and quality standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Renewable Energy Engineering.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in solar PV design, preferably in EPC companies.
- Strong experience in rooftop and ground-mounted solar systems.
- Hands-on experience in commercial & industrial (C&I) solar projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope or similar solar design software.
- Good understanding of inverters, modules, electrical systems, and grid integration.
- Knowledge of net metering policies and local/state regulations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in large-scale solar project design.
- Familiarity with tendering, permitting, and compliance documentation.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
