About the Role:
Tamarind Global is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced GST Supervisor to join our Finance team. This is a mid-level role responsible for managing GST compliance, reconciliations, return filings, and supporting the Payables function. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, sound accounting knowledge, and expertise in handling GST-related activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and file monthly GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B returns.
- Perform reconciliation of the Sales Register with the GST Portal (E-Invoicing/Returns).
- Reconcile the Purchase Register with the GST Portal to ensure accurate Input Tax Credit (ITC).
- Coordinate with key vendors to resolve ITC mismatches and reconciliation issues.
- Prepare and support annual GSTR-9 and GSTR-9C filings.
- Maintain organized documentation and provide timely support for GST notices and litigation matters.
- Handle day-to-day GST-related queries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to automate GST processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with applicable GST laws and regulations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in GST compliance and indirect taxation.
- Strong understanding of GST laws, return filing, and reconciliations.
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including handling large datasets.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience with ERP systems and GST compliance software will be an added advantage.
