Position Summary
The Principal is the academic and administrative head of the school, responsible for providing strategic leadership, ensuring academic excellence, maintaining operational efficiency, driving student success, fostering staff development, strengthening parent engagement, and upholding the vision and values of Pallavi International School.
The Principal shall ensure the smooth functioning of the school while creating a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment that promotes the overall growth and well-being of students and staff.
Key Responsibilities1. Academic Leadership
- Lead the implementation and enhancement of the curriculum in accordance with board guidelines.
- Ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment practices.
- Monitor academic performance and initiate improvement strategies.
- Conduct regular classroom observations and academic reviews.
- Promote innovative teaching methodologies and technology integration.
- Develop academic goals and achievement benchmarks.
2. School Administration
- Oversee day-to-day school operations and ensure effective functioning of all departments.
- Ensure compliance with educational regulations, statutory requirements, and board norms.
- Maintain school policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Ensure efficient management of resources, infrastructure, and facilities.
- Monitor safety, security, and discipline across the campus.
3. Staff Management & Development
- Recruit, mentor, and retain high-performing faculty and staff.
- Conduct performance appraisals and provide constructive feedback.
- Organize professional development programs, workshops, and training sessions.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work culture.
- Ensure accountability, professionalism, and adherence to institutional standards.
4. Student Development & Welfare
- Create a student-centric learning environment.
- Promote discipline, values, ethics, and leadership among students.
- Address student concerns and ensure emotional well-being.
- Encourage participation in co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
- Monitor student attendance, behavior, and academic progress.
5. Parent & Community Relations
- Build strong relationships with parents through effective communication.
- Conduct regular parent interaction sessions and feedback meetings.
- Address parent concerns professionally and promptly.
- Strengthen the school's reputation within the community.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, educational institutions, and community organizations.
6. Strategic Planning & School Growth
- Develop and implement strategic plans aligned with the school's vision.
- Drive admissions growth and student retention initiatives.
- Support branding, marketing, and outreach programs.
- Analyze school performance data and recommend improvements.
- Lead initiatives for continuous institutional development and excellence.
7. Financial & Resource Management
- Participate in budgeting and financial planning.
- Ensure optimal utilization of school resources.
- Monitor expenditure and maintain cost efficiency.
- Support procurement and infrastructure development initiatives.
8. Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure adherence to CBSE/State Board regulations and government guidelines.
- Maintain records required for inspections and audits.
- Lead accreditation and quality assurance processes.
- Implement best practices in school governance and educational standards.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Education or relevant discipline.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification (mandatory).
- Additional qualifications in Educational Leadership, Administration, or Management will be preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 10–15 years of teaching experience.
- At least 5 years of leadership experience as Principal, Vice Principal, Academic Coordinator, or equivalent.
- Proven experience in managing school operations and academic excellence.
- Experience in CBSE curriculum and educational administration is preferred.
