Safety Officer – Interior Fit-Out Project

Job Summary
We are hiring an experienced and responsible Safety Officer for an interior fit-out project in Nedumbassery.
The selected candidate will be responsible for the complete safety management of the project site, including inspections, safety compliance, worker training, documentation, reporting and prevention of unsafe activities.
We are looking for an honest, hardworking and disciplined professional who can independently manage site safety and take complete ownership of the role.
Mandatory Requirements
- Valid BE/BTech degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of relevant construction-site safety experience
- Valid safety diploma, certification or recognised safety qualification
- Valid and up-to-date safety training certificates
- Experience in interior fit-out, building construction or civil works
- Good knowledge of construction safety procedures and statutory requirements
- Ability to independently handle complete site safety responsibilities
- Willingness to work full-time at the Nedumbassery project site
Candidates without a BE/BTech Civil degree, valid safety qualifications or the required five years of experience should not apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Take complete responsibility for site safety management
- Implement and enforce the project safety plan
- Conduct worker safety inductions and daily toolbox talks
- Ensure proper use of PPE by workers and subcontractors
- Inspect scaffolding, ladders, tools, equipment and work areas
- Monitor work at height, hot work, electrical work and material handling
- Prepare risk assessments, safety checklists and permit-to-work documents
- Maintain safety registers, inspection reports and training records
- Conduct regular safety audits and close all safety observations
- Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses
- Coordinate with the client, consultant, project team and subcontractors
- Stop unsafe work and ensure corrective action before restarting
- Maintain fire-safety, emergency-response and first-aid arrangements
- Submit daily, weekly and monthly safety reports
- Ensure complete compliance with project and statutory safety requirements

Location and Travel Requirement
- The job is based at the project site in Nedumbassery
- No accommodation will be provided by the company
- Candidates must arrange their own accommodation and daily travel
- Local candidates residing in or around Nedumbassery, Aluva, Angamaly, Airport area or nearby locations will be preferred
