Role Overview
The Academic Mentor (Hosteller) plays a crucial role in driving academic success and delivering holistic residential care for students enrolled at our Hybrid Hostel Centre in Coimbatore. You will be responsible for providing academic support, monitoring study routines, and maintaining a disciplined, supportive, and structured environment within the hybrid hostel facility.
Key Responsibilities
1. Residential & Hostel Oversight
- Hostel Rounds & Discipline: Conduct regular morning, evening, and night hostel rounds to ensure strict adherence to dedicated study schedules, hostel decorum, and campus discipline.
- Structured Environment: Foster a safe, highly motivating, and distraction-free study environment within the Coimbatore hybrid residential facility.
- Student Well-being: Actively monitor the physical health, emotional wellness, and daily routines of resident students living away from home.
2. Data-Driven Academic Tracking & Evaluation
- Performance Analysis: Continuously track student progress across Daily Practice Problems (DPPs) and Chapter-Wise Exams (CWEs) for both Board and competitive (NEET/JEE) tracks.
- Discrepancy Identification: Analyze performance trends to catch early signs of learning gaps or stagnation (e.g., strong Board exam theory vs. weak MCQ accuracy).
- Targeted Interventions: Implement weekly corrective action plans, customized study schedules, and focused remedial sessions for struggling hostellers.
- Balanced Assessment: Evaluate student work effectively—guiding descriptive depth for Board exams while coaching speed, precision, and strategy for NEET/JEE MCQs.
3. Mentorship & Hybrid Learning Support
- Batch Leadership: Direct and mentor a dedicated batch of 35+ resident students, organizing disciplined daily hybrid study hours and self-study schedules.
- Individualized Support: Conduct regular 1-on-1 goal-setting and motivational counseling sessions to build confidence and manage competitive exam stress.
- Doubt Clearance: Organize and facilitate regular doubt-solving and revision sessions during evening hostel study hours.
- Log Maintenance: Maintain up-to-date academic, behavioral, and attendance logs, tracking performance in weekly tests and Grand Institutional Batch (GIB) exams.
4. Stakeholder Communication & Administration
- Parental Engagement: Maintain biweekly communication with parents to provide transparent updates on academic progress, hostel adaptation, attendance, and overall well-being.
- Counseling & Alignment: Guide parents on managing expectations between Board prep and competitive exam pressures in a hybrid learning setup.
- Operational Duties: Assist with local administrative tasks, including logging financial/fee status updates and coordinating day-to-day hostel logistics in Coimbatore.
Key Skills & Eligibility Requirements
- Language & Cultural Affinity: Must be a Tamil native speaker with strong fluency in Tamil to connect effortlessly with local students, build rapport, and communicate comfortably with parents.
- Academic Expertise: Solid command over Class 11–12 Board syllabi (CBSE/State Board) alongside NEET and JEE exam patterns.
- Residential Life Aptitude: Ability to manage teenage student dynamics in a hybrid hostel environment using a balance of empathy, patience, and firm discipline.
- Analytical Skills: Capability to translate test score data into customized, actionable study plans.
- Communication Excellence: Outstanding interpersonal skills to engage supportively with students and professionally with parents.
- Time & Scale Management: Proven efficiency in handling a load of 35+ resident students while maintaining quality individual attention and feedback.

Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
