Qualifications: Master of Social Work (MSW)and Masters of Hospital Administration (MHA) from a recognized institution.
Freshers and candidates with 0–1 year of experience in hospital operations
- To provide best possible care to patients during their admission in the hospital by identifying their needs and problems face by them during their stay in the hospital.
- Provide professional social work assistance to patients and their families related to illness, disease, hospitalization, financial needs by utilizing variety of modalities.
- Providing psychosocial support for patients/bystanders.
- Monitoring the services provided by each departments as part of patient care.
- Collect feedback from patients
- Coordinate the functions of patient care management by maintaining constant liaison with patients, doctors and using staffs so that the patients do not face any hardship during their stay in the hospital.
- Conducting and coordinating pre surgical and financial counselling.
- Ensure that the patent is made aware about his rights and about the procedure he is to undergo, by the concerned functionaries and he is able to enjoy his rights.
- Reduce delays in discharge process of patients.
- Report all significant incidents to In charge
- Provide help and advice to patients regarding services available in the hospital.
- Introduce and help the patient’s bystanders for online bill payment.
- Redress complaints of patients.
- Inform the bystander of patients about pending bills and ensure that outstanding dues are promptly paid without having excess pending bills.
- Ensure proper patient care, evaluate patient needs and satisfaction
- Maintain a bridge support between the patient and healthcare team
- Tracking the discharge processing without any delays from the time of billing and check outs
- Coordinate with the admission desk regarding bed availability and patient admissions.
- Act as a representative between patient and insurance billing for reviewing health Insurance policies.
- Ensure proper handing/taking over is done during the change of shifts
- Update all details of patients in Log books and referral register.
- Coordinate with multiple departments regarding patient care.
- Monitor DAMA (Discharge Against Medical Advice) cases and provide appropriate counseling to encourage patient retention.
- Report immediately any untoward incident, safety & security issues at the workplace to the concerned authorities.
