Job Description - SAP MM/WM Consultant (5+ Years Experience)

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP MM/WM Consultant with 5+ years of expertise in SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong functional knowledge of Materials Management (MM) and Warehouse Management (WM) processes, including warehouse operations, inventory management, handling unit management, RF/barcode scanning solutions, and system integrations. The consultant will be responsible for configuration, implementation, support, process optimization, and collaboration with global stakeholders to deliver efficient and scalable SAP solutions.

Key Responsibilities
SAP MM/WM Configuration & Solution Design

Configure and customize SAP MM and WM modules in SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments.
Design, implement, and optimize warehouse management processes, including storage strategies, putaway, picking, stock removal, and inventory management.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP functional specifications and system solutions.
Ensure seamless integration of MM/WM processes with other SAP modules and business applications.

Warehouse Management & Process Optimization

Manage and optimize end-to-end warehouse operations, including:

Goods Receipt
Putaway
Picking
Packing
Stock Transfers
Goods Issue

Implement and enhance warehouse processes to improve operational efficiency and inventory accuracy.
Configure and support Handling Unit Management (HU) and ensure effective material traceability through serial number and batch management.

RF and Barcode Scanning Solutions

Configure and support RF scanner solutions integrated with SAP WM.
Implement barcode scanning processes to enhance real-time inventory transactions and warehouse productivity.
Monitor and improve system performance related to mobile warehouse operations and stock movements.

SAP Implementation, Rollouts & Migration

Participate in SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration and transformation projects.
Gather business requirements and prepare functional specifications, process design documents, and RICEF requirements.
Support solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and hypercare activities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams during implementation and rollout projects.

Testing, Documentation & Production Support

Perform unit testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and regression testing for SAP WM/MM solutions.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including configuration documents, process flows, training materials, and user guides.
Provide production support and troubleshoot issues related to warehouse and material management processes.
Manage incidents and service requests using ticketing systems while ensuring compliance with SLA commitments.

Global Stakeholder Management

Collaborate with global business users and stakeholders to understand warehouse and inventory management requirements.
Conduct workshops, user training sessions, and knowledge transfer activities.
Provide functional guidance and support to end-users across multiple regions and business units.

SLA Management & Issue Resolution

Analyze, prioritize, and resolve application issues within agreed service levels.
Coordinate with technical, functional, and infrastructure teams to ensure timely resolution of business-critical issues.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancement opportunities.

Communication & Collaboration

Work closely with business users, project managers, developers, and cross-functional SAP teams.
Communicate effectively with global customers and stakeholders regarding project progress, system improvements, and issue resolution.
Facilitate requirements gathering sessions, workshops, and solution review meetings.

Required Qualification

Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Supply Chain, or related field.
5+ years of hands-on SAP MM and WM consulting experience.
Strong experience in SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA implementations and support projects.
Expertise in Warehouse Management processes, including inventory management, storage strategies, picking, packing, and handling unit management.
Experience with RF devices, barcode scanning solutions, and warehouse automation processes.
Strong knowledge of MM processes such as procurement, inventory management, goods movements, and material master data.
Experience in preparing functional specifications, RICEF objects, and test scenarios.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Experience working in global support and project environments.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
