## **Plant Head – Production**
**Location:** Ludhiana, Punjab (Full-time)
**Reports To:** Managing Director (MD)
**Experience Required:** 12–15 years in manufacturing/production management
### **About the Role**
lt is a leading manufacturer and exporter of engineering goods, including fasteners, foundation bolts, strut channels, sheet metal, and scaffolding accessories. We are looking for an experienced and dynamic **Plant Head** to oversee our manufacturing operations in Ludhiana.
The ideal candidate will be completely responsible for the plant's daily operations—including a robust **Machine Shop setup (CNC, Turning Adda, Cutting,Power press, welding and SPMs)**—ensuring smooth production, maintaining high quality standards, and driving efficiency while working closely under the guidance of the Managing Director.
### **Key Responsibilities**
* **Production Management:** Plan and execute daily production schedules to meet strict delivery timelines and export targets.
* **Operations & Maintenance:** Oversee the functioning of the sheet metal, fabrication, hardware production lines, and the **Machine Shop**. Ensure minimum downtime for critical machinery including **CNC Turning Centers, MS Round Cutting machines, and Special Purpose Machines (SPMs)** through proactive maintenance.
* **Quality Assurance:** Maintain strict quality controls in line with export standards to ensure zero-defect manufacturing across all machined and fabricated components.
* **Cost & Waste Control:** Optimize material utilization (especially raw material like MS Round bars), reduce cycle times on CNCs/SPMs, minimize wastage, and implement cost-effective measures.
* **Team Leadership:** Manage, mentor, and motivate shop-floor workers, CNC operators, maintenance engineers, and supervisors. Maintain a safe, disciplined, and highly productive work environment.
* **Reporting:** Work closely with the MD, providing regular data-driven updates on production metrics, plant performance, and inventory status.
### **Requirements**
* **Experience:** 12 to 15 years of proven experience in manufacturing plant operations. *Direct experience managing a Machine Shop handling CNC Turning, MS Round Cutting, and SPMs is highly preferred.*
* **Industry Background:** Fasteners, scaffolding, sheet metal, or heavy hardware industries.
* **Education:** B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical or Production Engineering (or equivalent industrial experience).
* **Skills:** Strong leadership, hands-on knowledge of shop-floor management, exposure to CNC/SPM cycle time optimization, cost reduction techniques, and excellent problem-solving abilities.
* **Communication:** Ability to effectively communicate with and manage local shop-floor labor (knowledge of Punjabi/Hindi is a strong plus).

Pay: Up to ₹80,000.00 per month
