JOB PURPOSE
To take complete responsibility for the end-to-end accounting and finance operations of the business, lead the accounts team, ensure accurate financial records, timely statutory compliance, and provide reliable financial information to management for decision-making.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Lead, supervise and allocate work to the accounts and data-entry team.
* Manage end-to-end accounting for the bakery, production unit, retail outlets and restaurant.
* Ensure timely and accurate recording of sales, purchases, expenses, receipts and payments.
* Monitor daily sales closing and reconciliation of cash, UPI, card and online aggregator collections.
* Handle bank reconciliation, vendor reconciliation, receivables and payables.
* Verify purchase invoices, GRNs, supplier bills and inter-unit transactions.
* Oversee payroll processing and salary-related accounting.
* Ensure timely GST, TDS and other statutory compliance in coordination with the auditor/consultant.
* Coordinate with the auditor, CA and other external consultants and provide required reports and documents.
* Prepare and review monthly P&L, balance sheet, cash-flow and management reports.
* Establish and improve accounting processes, controls and SOPs.
* Monitor financial discrepancies, cash/stock-related variances and potential leakages.
* Train, guide and develop the accounts team and ensure timely completion of assigned work.
* Ensure proper documentation and systematic maintenance of all financial records.
* Keep books of accounts updated and ensure there are no significant backlogs.
* Provide management with regular financial updates, analysis and exception reports.
* Support management in budgeting, cost control and financial planning.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITY
The Senior Accountant / Accounts Head will be accountable for the accuracy of the books, effectiveness of financial controls, timely statutory compliance and overall performance of the accounts team.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
* Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance or Accounting.
* 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with team-handling experience.
* Strong working knowledge of Tally/ERP and MS Excel.
* Good knowledge of GST, TDS, payroll and statutory compliance.
* Experience in bakery, restaurant, retail, FMCG or similar businesses will be an advantage.
* Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.
* Ability to independently manage multiple outlets and lead a team.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
