Job Description:
We are seeking a talented Technical Artist to join our dynamic team. As a Technical Artist, you will bridge the gap between artists and programmers, ensuring the artistic vision of our games is implemented smoothly while optimizing performance across multiple platforms. You will collaborate closely with designers, artists, and developers to deliver engaging and visually stunning games.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with artists, animators, and developers to implement assets into the game engine (Unity)
- Optimize assets (textures, models, animations) for better performance across platforms (mobile).
- Troubleshoot and solve technical issues related to art asset implementation and performance.
- Develop and maintain shaders and pipelines to improve workflow efficiency for the art team.
- Work with programmers to ensure that artistic solutions are technically feasible and optimized.
- Assist in creating technical documentation for art pipelines, tools, and processes.
- Stay updated with the latest techniques and technologies in game development and share knowledge with the team.
- Design agile and efficient tools for extended departments to enhance quick and seamless workability.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a gaming-related field, with specialized knowledge in technical art.
- 1- 2 years of experience as a Technical Artist in the gaming industry.
- Understanding of real-time rendering, shaders, lighting, and asset optimization.
- Proficiency in Unity.
- Knowledge for 2D & 3D modeling software (Blender) and texturing tools (Substance Painter, Photoshop).
- Familiarity with scripting languages (C#) is good to have.
- Ability to balance the artistic vision with technical constraints and optimize accordingly.
- Good communication skills and a collaborative team player.
