The Team You’ll Join
You will join Envestnet’s Technology team, where we design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and robust WealthTech solutions that power the future of financial advice. The team collaborates closely with product, operations, and business stakeholders to drive innovation, enhance efficiency, and enable sustainable growth. Guided by modern engineering practices and a commitment to domain excellence, technical rigor, and collaboration, the Technology team ensures our platforms remain resilient, adaptable, and aligned with evolving business needs making it a core driver of Envestnet’s long term success.
How You’ll Contribute
Design, develop, and maintain complex backend systems and AI-driven solutions that support wealth management platforms. Lead technical design for key features, solve complex engineering challenges, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring scalable, secure, and reliable software delivery.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer who can independently deliver complex features, lead technical design discussions, mentor team members, and contribute to the adoption of AI-powered capabilities within enterprise-grade financial platforms.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java/Spring Boot applications and services.
- Leverage AI tools in all PDLC to accelerate delivery.
- Lead technical design and implementation of medium-to-large product features.
- Build and enhance AI Agent workflows using Agentic AI frameworks.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and implement robust, scalable fixes.
- Optimize systems for performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Drive engineering best practices in coding, testing, CI/CD, and observability.
- Collaborate with Product, QA, Compliance, and Engineering teams to refine and deliver solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and technical guidance.
What You’ll Need to Bring
- 8–12 years of software development experience.
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and distributed systems.
- Experience building scalable, high-performance backend applications.
- Hands-on experience with GenAI/Agentic AI technologies and LLM integrations.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and performance tuning skills.
- Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and Agile development practices.
Nice-to-Haves
- Knowledge of RAG, vector databases, LangGraph, or similar AI frameworks.
- Experience in fintech, wealth management, or regulated industries.
