Role Overview
The Delivery Manager/Content Manager will oversee the end-to-end delivery of software
content projects, ensuring timely, high-quality outputs that align with business objectives. This
role bridges technical teams and stakeholders, driving operational excellence and content
strategy to maximize organizational impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of content initiatives within the software
department, managing timelines, resources, and stakeholder expectations.
- Develop and maintain content governance frameworks, including style guides, templates,
and quality assurance processes.
- Manage a team of content creators and technical writers, providing mentorship, feedback,
and performance guidance — measurably reduce ramp-up time for new hires by
approximately 2 weeks.
- Analyze content performance metrics and user feedback to continuously improve content
relevance, accuracy, and engagement — increase content engagement scores by at least
15% year over year.
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration between engineering, product, and marketing
teams to align content with product releases and roadmaps.
- Oversee content lifecycle from ideation through publication, ensuring adherence to brand
standards and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase delivery efficiency and reduce
time-to-market — target a 20% reduction in average delivery cycle time.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BE preferred), Computer Science, Communications, or a
related field.
- 5+ years of experience in content management, delivery management, or a similar role
within a software or technology environment.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex
technical concepts clearly to non-specialist stakeholders.
- Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines, and
delivering measurable results.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using data to drive content strategy and
decision-making.
- Proficiency with content management systems (CMS), project management tools (e.g., Jira,
Asana), and version control workflows.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, including team management or cross-functional
coordination experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies and working in a fast-paced software
development environment.
- Familiarity with technical documentation standards (e.g., DITA, Markdown) and API
documentation tools.
- Certification in project management (PMP, PRINCE2) or content strategy.
- Background in UX writing or user-centered content design.
