- Conceptualization & Design: Develop 2D drafts, 3D CAD models, and simulations using software like SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA to meet user and business requirements.
- Prototyping & Testing: Fabricate physical or digital prototypes and run tests (e.g., stress, durability, temperature) to validate functionality and troubleshoot flaws.
- Manufacturing Integration: Collaborate with production teams to optimize manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, CNC machining) for cost efficiency, assembly ease, and scale.
- Material & Vendor Selection: Evaluate, sample, and source materials or components to find the best balance of cost and quality, assisting in vendor development.
- Documentation: Generate detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs), product specifications, technical manuals, and quality control guidelines.
