We are looking for a skilled VMC Operator to join our team. As a VMC Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating vertical machining centers (VMC) to produce precision metal parts and components. You will work closely with the production team to ensure parts meet quality specifications and production schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate VMC machines according to work orders, blueprints, or technical drawings.
- Inspect finished parts using measurement tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as necessary to maintain high production quality and minimize downtime.
- Perform regular machine maintenance and cleaning to ensure optimal functioning.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the machine or tools.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams to ensure accurate machining processes.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, including machine settings, tool changes, and quality checks.
- Ensure the proper handling and storage of raw materials and finished parts.
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance production efficiency and quality.
